Friday night was beautiful so we had a lot of outside playtime.
I really did try to get all three of them to look through this ladder at the same time but it just didn't work.
Emma and Marcus got to ride our neighbor's 4-wheeler. Marcus has been begging to go on this since the first day he saw it.
We had a surprise visit from Grami and Poppi this weekend too! It's always good to see Grami and Poppi. Hope everyone else had a great weekend too!

Sled
We finally found the sled. We lost it early this winter with the record snowfall. Now that the snow is finally gone (well most of it anyway), the sled has reappeard. We promised the kids they could play outside after dinner tonight because it was so nice outside. It is still cold so sledding seemed appropriate and they had a blast... here's a little sample...

Fishing
We ran out of time at the Big Horn show yesterday but promised the kids we would go fishing. So, the first thing we did this morning was head back to do some fishing...
Marcus LOVED it. He caught a fish the minute he put his pole in. This is a big pool full of real live trout. The fish came out fighting and flopped around and all. The girls were still getting bait put on their poles, so they did not witness the first "kill".
Emma was so excited...all she could talk about all morning was going fishing.
It took a little while but Emma was the next to catch a fish...let's just say if I would have had my camera in video mode...we could have made a lot of money on "Funniest Home Videos".
Emma saw the fish come out of the water and she screamed and jumped off the box she was standing on and was in my arms crying as loud as I've ever heard her cry. Everyone was watching her...we couldn't stop laughing at her expense (believe me, if you were there you would have laughed too). She was devastated. Olivia jumped off after her, but even she was chuckling a little at her sister. This is a picture of her giving her dad a "high five" after we got her to settle down a bit.
We got to keep the fish. They had this great little area where they took a photo of us with our catches of the day. I tried to hold one but the girls did not want to be anywhere near those fish. Don't you love the look on Emma's face...it took a while for her eyes to go back into her head...she is still trying to get over that dreadful experience. I'm not sure if we'll ever get her to eat fish again.

Big Horn Show
The Big Horn Show was in town this weekend. We started off there yesterday and the kids got to ride the mules.
I spilled something on my camera and some of my pictures turned out spotted...but the kids still look cute :-)
Raymond was in town too. We actually got our picture taken with a bear yesterday as well. However, when we went back to get it today, it wasn't there...someone out there has a picture of our family as a result. I was a little bummed...I'm sure it would have been cute.

Feeling Better

We've been homebound since Weds (actually Emma's been home since Tuesday...she was home sick before Olivia was). It was over 40 degrees outside today so I decided to let the caged animals out for a bit...they soaked up every minute!
Emma took a few spills on her bike...notice the mud all over her arm. She was still determined to stay out as long as she could though.
Olivia seems to be feeling better. She was pushing Marcus all around the driveway. She still has a nasty cough, but they all do right now. The antibiotics don't seem to be helping, so it must be a virus like the doctor originally thought. I sure hope it goes away soon...it's not fun having sick kids.

X-Ray
Emma is sick too. She actually had a temperature of 101 on Monday and stayed home with Daddy yesterday. The doctor said if Olivia starts to improve by tomorrow, then we need to get Emma in for antibiotics too.
Don't you love it! We'll keep you posted.

Checkup
Yesterday was Marcus' 15 month checkup. He now weighs 22.8 lbs (25%) and he's 31 inches long (50%). I compared the girls' checkups and found it interesting that Emma weighed 23 lbs and was 31 inches at her TWO YEAR OLD visit! I know I'm comparing boy vs. girl though, so it probably isn't so strange. He is consistent on height at 50% but his weight has gone down...I guess that's normal when they start walking and running around though. So overall, he got an A+.
