Poor Emma

Last night Emma got to hang out with Daddy. She got to ride the tractor to Jack's house (about 1.5 miles away) and hang out there for a while. So, tonight was Olivia's night with Daddy (they went to Costco).

It was a little rough on Emma to have to stay home, but she quickly got over it when the cupcakes came out...YUMMY!

Then we went for a walk...Marcus got to sit in the stroller since Olivia wasn't there. He enjoyed that.

Unfortunately Emma fell outside and landed right in one of those sticker weeds...she had stickers all over her hand...poor thing. Marc ended up getting them out with a lot of struggle...so she's ok now. It was a pretty rough night though.

BBQ

We went to our friends' (Kara, Rob, Avery & Brady) house today. They are friends of ours that we have not seen in a while. We have been trying to arrange a time to get together and we finally found it!

It took a little while for all the kids to get comfortable with each other. They were all a little shy and unsure. Avery is just a few weeks younger than the twins. Her little brother, Brady, is just 3 months old...I got my camara home and realized I didn't take any pictures of little Brady :-(
Rob & Kara just put this play gym together this weekend. Perfect timing for all the kids to test it out...it was a hit! Don't you just love that first picture of the girls chatting away...too cute!

They had this great swing that hung from a branch in their tree. Marcus LOVED it. He laughed the whole time! We are definatley buying a baby swing this week for our play gym.

This is little Kennedy. She is our friends', Melinda & Cam, daughter. She is 18 months old and such a little doll.

The kids really warmed up to each other once Avery brought the chips out. Funny how they are attracted to junk food at such an early age.

The party ended with cupcakes...YUMMY! We decided it was easier to take the clothes off rather than deal with the messes we knew they would make :-) We had such a great time. We will definatley not wait as long to get together again.

Works of Art

Well, here are the finished products...we picked them up this morning. I forgot to mention the girls painted their own little treasures too. They both picked out what they wanted to paint. Olivia painted the car and Emma painted the cow. I was wondering what colors they were going to be, they girls had the colors so mixed up, I thought they might come out black! They turned out pretty cute though. They were so proud of them...they both held them all the way home today. Guess we'll have to do this again soon.

Getting bigger...

Look how big Marcus is getting...he's almost as big as Emma! He actually crawled a few feet tonight too! I can't believe how fast he has picked it up. He is so determined, I give him less than a week and he'll be crawling...heck, at the rate he's going, he'll probably be crawling by the end of the weekend :-)Posted by Picasa
Here is what the girls worked on at DeeDee's house today...

All my babies are growing up! :-(

Footprints

My friend Amber and I took the kids to Polka Dot Pottery today. I made a plate of the girls' footprints when they were 6 months old and I wanted Marcus' footprints too. So I did a platter this time with all three of the kids footprints. It will be done next Saturday so I'll take a picture of the finished product for you to see...

Marcus was a good sport. I think he mainly wondered what we were doing to him...

Olivia did great too. She thought it was pretty cool...

Emma was a little more difficult. She was fine with her feet being painted, but she put up a fight when we tried to put them on the platter. It turned out cute anyway :-)

Here's Amber...I could not have done this without her help. Next time we come, we can do Amber's new baby's footprints too (she's due end of October)!!! :-)

Friday Night Fun

Looks like we need to get another one of these chairs for Marcus!

Belive it or not, Emma was actually laughing during this! She did get pretty cold though. Olivia was on a roll getting EVERYONE wet...hopefully this works and you can get a glimpse of the fun!

In case you are wondering...David is our house guest. He is going through lineman school with Marc. He is from the other side of the State so we offered him a place to stay while he is here. I'll be sure to post some pictures of him in future posts :-)

Recreational Vehicles

We went to the Agnew's youngest daughter's 2nd birthday party today. They have the coolest toys! Look at this jeep. Emma was really driving this...it has a gas pedal and everything! She caught on right away and the girls went round and round the yard.

They also have this little four-wheeler. You push a button on the handlebars and it goes too! Olivia got the hang of that one pretty quickly.

We even let Marcus go for a little spin around the yard :-) Sort of scary...he looks right at home on this, doesn't he?

Little Olivia...always there to lend a helping hand. We had a ton of fun...great food, great friends. It was a little hard getting the kids to leave though. Now Marc thinks we need to get some of these toys! I agree only if we can get a great deal like the Agnews did...FREE!

Hi There!

Emma was busy calling everyone on the phone tonight. She called Gramie & Poppie, Nana & Papa and even Sophie and Ceci. She told each one of you that she misses you and loves you.
Marcus got into the phone action tonight too however he did more eating than talking :-)

Bonding

The cousins had some bonding time this Fourth of July weekend.
They did a lot of running too.
They really got along very well, Sophie was a big help with all the little ones.

Baking

Olivia and Ceci helped Gramie bake cupcakes for the big Fourth of July party.
Emma and Sophie helped bake little chocolate cakes..Yummy!

The girls did very well...they were very patient waiting for the cakes to be done.

They even helped count them as they came out of the oven...so fun!
