Updates

Marcus is back to sleeping through the night again. I think the baby food is helping...so far 2 nights in a row.
Emma is really into princesses lately. Today I wore a dress to work and when she saw me she said "Mommy's a princess!" It was so cute.
Then there's Olivia...still not sleeping through the night. For some strange reason, she wakes up every morning around 1:30 or 2:00 am. She gets out of bed and stands in the kitchen. All I have to do is pick her up and say "night night" and she goes right back to sleep...not sure what that's all about. Also, while Emma prefers dresses lately, Olivia only wants jeans and tennis shoes...is she a tomboy or what!

What a Weekend!

Emma found a "flower" in the yard today...

She was so proud of it...

Hopefully she doesn't find too many more like it this year :-)

What a great weekend. The weather was beautiful and as you can see, we took full advantage of it. I also wanted to share that Marcus had his first baby food tonight...Apple Dumplings! It was all we had that wasn't expired from the girls' baby food days. He loved it! Guess we are ready for baby food now.

They're finally feeding me

We decided to bring out the high chair tonight. Marcus was pretty vocal so we decided to try some toast too...he was all over that!

Trucks ARE for girls

After this...Marc said "do I need to go have that sandblasted and powdercoated pink?"

Sitting is hard!

Look at me, I'm sitting!!!

Opps...I still haven't quite mastered it yet.

But it's ok...I'll keep trying...and laughing my head off in the meantime :-)

Sisters

I was going to do a picture of the girls hugging...but this is more their true colors :-) We just had to share our funny story...last night we had trouble getting the girls to go to bed (seems to be a theme there). After an hour of struggling with them, Marc went in to deal with them and found Olivia with no diaper on (also a theme lately). While he delt with her, she kept pointing and saying "Sissy, Sissy"...that's when he discovered our little Emma hiding under the covers with NOTHING on. He couldn't hold a straight face and came out to let me know I had to deal with them. He was laughing so hard, he was crying.

Helping Hand

Marcus has been trying to sit up for a while now. Tonight Olivia decided to help him work on it.
She certainly loves her baby brother.
Emma is such a big girl...the binky is gone for good...she doesn't even mention it anymore.

Hello...

Lately, the cell phone has been connected to Olivia's ear. She has a play cell phone, but of course would rather use the real thing...Daddy's :-) In just the last few days, Olivia has decided to become a non-stop talker...either on the cell phone or to anyone that wants to listen. We can't understand a word she is saying...but she thinks it's important. It's so dang cute!

A little break

Marc took the girls to Costco this morning and Marcus and I had a little bonding time. We took a nap and just hung out all morning. It was much needed rest for me. I seemed to have caught the girls' cold and I had a tough week at work. Plus Marcus eats at midnight, 3:30am and 5:30 or 6am lately so I don't seem to get much sleep these days. Marc is nice enough to let me sleep in on weekends though...I ususally get to sleep from Marcus' 5:30 feeding until around 7:30.
Oh...Emma learned to drink from a bowl tonight. All she wanted for dinner was cereal...she even passed up the old favorite, peanut butter and jelly!

Lots to share...

Olivia just decided she is ready to be a big girl. In just the last couple of days, she has asked to go potty but will only sit on the big toilet. She actually went tonight! We were so proud. We made a big deal out of it and gave her a sticker and little case to hold it in. She was so proud, she couldn't decide where to put her prize, so she ended up taking it to bed with her.
We finally got the girls bed rails. Now Emma can sleep through the night without falling out of bed...much better for all of us. Another piece of big news regarding Emma...the binky is gone! It wasn't hard at all! I give the credit to DeeDee (daycare teacher). She got rid of the binky at her house a while ago...I just had to be tough and do it here. All we did was tell her she is a big girl and the binkies were all gone. Tonight she went to her drawer that used to hold the binkies and looked inside...then she said "binkies all gone" It was precious. She was a little sad the first day, but she is doing so well now.
And then there's poor little Marcus...he has officially started teething. He's trying to be strong, but we know it hurts and are being as sympathetic as possible.

Beauty & the Beast

The girls wanted to play dress up tonight. Emma wanted to be a princess.
Olivia wanted to be a Lion. She chased the princess around the house growling the whole time. I think it's time to get some dress up clothes :-)

Dinner?

Marc went hunting at 4:30 this morning and brought back a nice turkey.
Marcus seemed to like it. We are getting him prepared for future hunting trips.
Emma loved it. Notice the feather in the hat :-) She even sat and watched Daddy process the meat and said "Oh Cool!" the whole time.
Overall, everyone was in agreement.......Good Job Daddy!

Potty Chair

Well, at least someone is getting potty trained :-) Actually, Emma is very close. We just need to be more consistent and she will be there in no time...
Olivia on the other hand is only interested in others being potty trained...she won't really try it herself yet.
I just had to include this sweet little face...don't you just love him! Marcus is rolling all over the place lately and trying to sit up on his own too. He is so strong and getting so big so fast.
