Growing up too fast...

Yesterday we introduced Marcus to the "Jumperoo". He loved it! He caught on right away after Olivia showed him how it was done. He just laughed and laughed while he jumped. He spent most of the afternoon in it...it was hilarious!
We finally decided to remove the rails from the cribs. The girls did OK. At naptime yesterday, Emma fell out after sleeping 2 hours. Last night, Emma fell out three times...after the third time, we moved the futon mattress into their room and it fits perfectly in between their beds. Now it's a much softer landing for poor little Emma. The girls do love their new room though. It was nice waking up to them saying "hi" rather than screaming "all done" and crying. They just opened their door and wandered into the hallway...it was pretty cute.
The girls are getting so independent and not needing us around so much while they play lately. It's sort of nice, but kind of sad at the same time. They do love each other though...that's so nice to see.

Are you kidding?

Just when we thought it was safe to remove the snow tires...more snow? I thought it was supposed to be spring?
I swear this picture was taken tonight...it is not from December :-) Crazy...isn't it?
On another note...Marcus is regularly rolling from back to tummy. He hasn't figured out how to go from tummy to back yet, but I'm sure it won't be long. Don't you just LOVE that smile!

ER Again

Marcus went back to the ER last night....or rather early this morning. He woke up at 1am to eat and was really struggling to breath again. After doing a breathing treatment, he didn't seem better, so I took him into the ER. They let us go home around 3:30am after giving him a little medicine to help his throat feel better. He still seems to be feeling bad...but we do see a laugh every now and then. Poor baby...it's no fun being sick. He weighed in at 15 lbs 8 oz at the doctor this morning though...so this obviously isn't affecting his eating :-)

Deer!

The girls, Tucker and I went for a walk tonight after work. We thought we would show you some of the scenery. The girls are really into the deer lately. We even had a ton of them cross in front of us...the girls were so excited. They just screamed "Deer! Deer!" Olivia even said "Deer cute" tonight. I sure hope she doesn't mind her Daddy hunting them in the years to come...could be trouble.

Happy Easter!

Egg Hunt @ Poppi & Grami's

It's quite a challenge getting a picture of these guys...Marcus was the most cooperative this morning. I'm sure Tracy got a good one of them all...she has a much better camara. Isn't this a cute bunch though?!?

Easter Morning

Marcus really enjoyed his first Easter. He officially rolls from his back to his tummy now too. He has done it several times today...pretty impressive for 3 months old!
The Easter Bunny was good to the girls this year. They got "Doodle Pros". They love them!
Cousin Sophie was such a big help with all the kids this weekend. She said she wants to be a babysitter when she grows up...isn't that so cute!
Olivia & Ceci bonded with the "Dude" sign this morning. I do wish we all lived closer to each other. It's so fun to watch them all together.

Bowling

We took the kids bowling on Saturday night. They had an absolute blast!
We had four kids ages 4 and younger and they all did so well taking turns...it was fun to see.
They all lasted most of the game, but then needed a new activity...thank goodness for Auntie Tracy and Uncle Wes for thinking to bring other things to do.
Emma was our little champ...she ended with a score of 148! She even beat me (I didn't have bumpers though :-))

Easter Egg Hunt

The cousins waiting patiently for the hunt to begin.
Gramie took good care of Marcus...
Auntie Kimmie was Olivia's partner...
Both girls did very well and even shared back and forth with each other...it was very sweet.

Easter Bunny

The things we do to our kids for a picture. Poor Olivia did not enjoy the Easter Bunny tonight. Emma wasn't too impressed either at first. Marcus of course was perfect...but I'm sure the girls' reaction is a preview of how Marcus will be next year :-)

In the end, we had the girls giving the Easter Bunny five...so hopefully there won't be any nightmares tonight.

Time Out

I thought this was the appropriate picture for the events of today. Olivia continues to be the little trouble maker at daycare. Today she was put in time-out for hitting and kicking the puppy. She can be a little rough at times. I'm sure this won't be the last time she is in time-out.

Emma on the other hand continues to be a little angel...the daycare teacher says "we never have any trouble with Emma". Marc and I were talking to the girls tonight and Marc asked about the time-out episode. Emma said "Sissy in time-out..." We asked if Emma was good and she said "Emma good girl". She was so proud. When we asked Olivia if she was in time-out, she simply smiled and said "no..." They are really starting to communicate well. It's almost scary.

Marcus is doing much better again today. He seems to be better and better each day.

Uncle Raymond

Tonight is "Boys Night Out" for Marc and his friends. Downtown Spokane is quite the party the weekend before St Patrick's Day...Green Beer for Everyone! It's a tradition for Marc and his friends to hit the town every year at this time...even Raymond comes over from Seattle. They always get a hotel room...so they are smart about it...makes me feel much better because they can get pretty roudy this time of year :-)

Little Charmer

Marcus went from bad to worse yesterday. By the time I called the Pediatrician, they told me to take him into the ER since the clinic was closing. We went to the ER at 5PM and at 8PM they admitted Marcus into the hospital. Mainly for observation. He was so cute...even when he's sick he's happy. We saw several nurses last night and every time one walked in Marcus gave them a big smile. The nurses said he was their favorite sick baby. Already a charmer at such an early age...are we in trouble! He is feeling so much better today...he actually slept well at the hospital...can't say the same for myself. I'm just glad he is doing better now.

On another note...Marc is teaching the girls how to save their money...we need some way to pay for their college and weddings someday :-)

Sick Day

This has been my view most of today. Marcus had a tough night. He was up off and on with a fever. He can't breath and his cough is getting worse. I feel so helpless. Why do babies have to get sick? I decided to stay home with the kids today to monitor Marcus.

The girls are having a great day. Emma actually climbs in and out of this baby swing by herself. She sets it so it will swing and then climbs right in. Olivia likes to mess with her when she is in it. I love how they play together. You can just see how much they love each other too.
